“DIRTY CONTACTS is a new Electronic music night I’m starting with Dave Baker from the band Komputer (MUTE Records), previously of Fortran 5 and I Start Counting. We’re holding it at a jolly excellent North London music venue/bar, called The Boogaloo, and it’s going to happen on the 1st Thursday of every month, from 9pm til 1am. We’re going to be DJing all kinds of Electronic music, from every era, both popular and obscure, spanning the genres as we go…
The opening night is on Thursday April 3rd, just over a month from now, and I’ll also be performing a live Mechanical Cabaret set with my musical cohort Steve on live synths, around 10pm, which will be our first in London since last autumn.
You don’t have to pay anything to come in: there’s no guest list as such, but we’re utilising an Honesty-box door policy, which basically means that people can pay as much as they like, with no minimum or maximum. The Boogaloo is on Archway Road, located right by Highgate Tube on the Northern line, and served by several buses, as it’s right on a major bus route: the 43, 134 and 263 all stop right outside.
I for one am looking forward to this night, bring on the obscure..
